Alloyed
Pre-Alloyed
  • ATOMET 4001 is a highly compressible water atomized low alloy steel powder containing 0.5% molybdenum designed for high performance, high strength powder metallurgy and powder forging applications.

  • ATOMET 4201 is a highly compressible, water-atomized low alloy steel powder containing 0.45% nickel and 0.60% molybdenum, designed for high performance, high strength powder metallurgy and powder forging applications.

  • ATOMET 4401 is a highly compressible, water-atomized alloy steel containing 0.85% molybdenum, designed for use in high strength, high performance powder metallurgy and powder forging applications.

  • ATOMET 4601 is a highly compressible, water-atomized alloy steel powder containing 1.8% nickel and 0.55% molybdenum. It is designed for high performance, high strength powder metallurgy and powder forging applications.

  • ATOMET 4701 is a highly compressible, water-atomized low alloy steel powder specially engineered for sinter hardening applications.

  • ATOMET 4801 is a highly compressible, water-atomised alloy steel containing 4.0% Ni designed for use in high-strength applications, requiring high wear resistance. The sinter hardening properties of ATOMET 4801 allow parts to be fabricated requiring no additional processing other than an optional tempering to increase strength even further. Prealloying removes all free Ni from the powder, reducing workers exposure to Ni dust, exceeding current health and safety norms.

  • ATOMET 4901 is a highly compressible, water-atomized alloy steel containing 1.5% molybdenum designed for use in high strength, high performance powder metallurgy and sinter hardening applications.

Diffusion Bonded
  • ATOMET DB46 containing 1.75% nickel is a highly compressible diffusion-bonded steel powder, designed for high performance applications. QMP’s process diffusion bonds the alloying elements to our water-atomized steel powder, giving excellent consistency and dimensional control without sacrificing compressibility or green strength.

  • ATOMET DB48, containing 4% nickel is a highly compressible diffusion-bonded steel powder, designed for high performance applications. QMP’s process diffusion bonds the alloying elements to our water-atomized steel powder, giving excellent consistency and dimensional control without sacrificing compressibility or green strength.

  • ATOMET DB49, containing 4% Ni, 2% Cu and 1.5% Mo is a highly compressible diffusion-bonded steel powder, designed for demanding applications requiring very high strength and dimensional control in parts.
